According to the organizers, the Recording Academy, the award categories and other added categories, will begin to be included in the Grammys in 2023, or the 65th Grammy Awards.
Citing the Grammy.com page, Monday (13/6/2022), the category intended for video game music was included in the Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media.
This award is intended to recognize the excellence of "soundtrack score albums consisting mainly of original scores and tailor-made for, or as a companion to, current video games or other interactive media released within the qualifying period."
In addition, the Grammys also added several other categories such as Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical; Best Alternative Music Performances; Best Americana Performances; and Best Spoken Word Poetry Album.

Quoted from PC Gamer, music for video games has actually been staged at the Grammys several times.
The first award went to Christopher Tin's Baba Yetu, who won Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalists in 2011. The music was originally composed for the theme song Civilization 4 in 2005.
Composer Austin Wintory was also nominated for a 2013 Grammy in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category for his work Journey, but failed to win.

According to Eurogamer, at the 64th Grammy Awards earlier this year, arrangers Charlie Rosen and Jake Silverman were also nominated for Best Arrangement, Instrumental, or A Capella for their Big Band arrangement in Kirby Superstar's Meta Knight's Revenge.
His second win in that category also made the game the second winner at the Grammy Awards, after music produced by Christopher Tin.

According to him, this concept then set the standard for Resident Evil titles in the future.
Edso revealed, Resident Evil 4 Remake is being developed to achieve the highest quality of survival horror suitable in 2023, while retaining the essence of the original game.
